SIGMA Advances Responsible Business Practices with Sedex and SMETA

As global supply chains become more complex, customers are looking beyond what a supplier delivers—they also want to understand how that supplier operates.

Responsible business is not a one-time requirement or simply a checklist for an audit. It is an ongoing effort to strengthen how a company manages its workplace, supply chain, environmental responsibilities and business conduct.

SIGMA joined the Sedex platform last year and completed a SMETA audit earlier this year. For us, the value goes beyond the audit itself. More importantly, it provides us with another framework to review how we operate and identify where we can continue to improve as a long-term partner to the healthcare industry.

This matters because responsibility in healthcare extends beyond product performance. The way people are supported, processes are managed and business decisions are made all contribute to a more consistent and resilient operation.

As a company focused on sterile barrier solutions, we believe responsibility should extend beyond the performance of the package itself. It should also be reflected in the people, processes and business practices behind every solution we deliver.

Completing an audit is not the destination. It is another step in our ongoing journey toward becoming a more responsible and reliable partner to the healthcare industry.
