Enhancing Sterilization Practices: SIGMA’s Visit to En Chu Kong Hospital

In June, SIGMA visited En Chu Kong Hospital, an important private hospital in Taiwan, for a product exchange with the CSSD team. Through a video by the Sterile Barrier Association (SBA), we helped the CSSD staff understand the sterile barrier system, covering topics like maintaining sterility in packaging and recognizing SBS symbols.

Our team shared insights on the latest medical regulations and our extensive practical experience. We discussed principles for selecting sterilization materials, including the shape, size, weight, and types of instruments, as well as the packaging materials' tolerance and functionality.

The CSSD staff were active, asking many questions about appropriate packaging sizes and regulatory requirements for seal width. We were honored to leverage our experience and stay updated with the latest medical regulations to provide frontline users with safer, higher-quality products and services. We look forward to enhancing healthcare safety and quality.
